It is nice to meet new family but I am not sure about very large group meetings. However to celebrate my aunt's 99th birthday we invited Gwen (nee Whapshare) and her two sisters to our home together with new family members that we had not previously met.
We are now in touch with family of all brothers and sister of my grandfather Edwin Whapshare with the exception of George and I don't think he had children. (I may be wrong). Edwin's father Charles George had a brother James who married Kate Wingrove and we were delighted to meet his g granddaughter. Kate of course then married Harry Box and introduced his daughter to Charles George's son.
The mother of Charles George was Sarah Ann Young who later married Thomas Barrett and had a son. It was also a great pleasure to meet her g grandchildren.

Iused to work in the garage where she get her car TNN1198 repaired in ooty. I used to talk to her very often and it was very interesting to interact with her. One occassion she asked me to bring the car to her bungalow after repairing,since here driver was on leave. It was a pleasant Saturday,i took her car to the estate from Ooty.On nearing the gate about five to six dogs were pouncing on the gate to see whether their mister es were in the car. Hearing the noice,Mrs,wapshere came and ordered the dogs to keep silent.Then she took me to the bunglow,offered nice Tea.We were talking about the Estates for sometime,and while leaving she gave me Five Hundred rupee note for the services. She was rembered as Iron Lady in the estate.When here loved Husband died in the hospital in Mysore,there was no one there to help her. She was alone in the bedside. She took his body in the cars' backseat and drove alone to Estate from Mysore.She lived like Mrs.Margret Thatcher. I always remember her and admire her in my live. Let her Live in Peace.
